The 7th Element

SCROLL DOWN

In 2017 Jean Charles de Castelbajac painted a fresque, The Six Elements, at the Maison des Saveurs, Domaine des Andeols. Now, in 2019, Athal presents The 7th Element. The 7th Element cannot be captured by images, nor expressed through words; it can only be experienced.

An Essential Dining Experience

In true Provencal style, much of what we do at the 7th Element comes from our organic farm, Grange-Basse. Like the pine woodland that spreads across the valleys, Grange-Basse extends over 2 hectares of rich agricultural land. It is home to 140 hens, abundant orchards, bountiful vegetable plots, and aromatic herb gardens. Located near Viens, every living entity lives in harmony at Grange Base - it is a source of nourishment and an inspiration for the food we serve at the 7th Element. Agricultural best practices are put to use at Grange-Basse, from biodynamic farming to innovative fertilization techniques, which enrich the flavors and elevate the nutritional benefits of the harvest. From the gardens, our chefs create unique dining experiences for guests. Servings are simple yet refined, beautiful yet complex - and always surprising to the pallet. At the 7th Element, guests enjoy a taste of the elegance they see all around them.
